Blackwater-Spruce Ranch:
Newsletter for 2010

JANUARY 2010

Well a new year has begun, in more ways than one. Happy new year to Everyone.

We wish to let everyone know that this will be the last year for cattle drives. So if you have been wanting to go on on, now is the time. The spring cattle drive scheduled for may is almost full. There is space however on the fall cattle drive. Book early to take part in this final event. We have decided to devote ourselves full time to our Adventure horse treks, which does not leave much time to deal with our cattle. The markets of the last few years have determined the answer for us.

We had such a spectacular time last year on all of our trips, but most memorable was the Anahim lake adventure. 21 days of camping and riding. Awesome and busy planning for this years adventure which will take place from June 21 to July 14. You may choose to go one way or both. We assure you a grandiose time in Anahim lake at the stampede. It is a weekend like no other.

As well we still offer 10 day treks and 5 day treks. We have accomodated some of our guests on the 5 day treks, in our cabins for the duration of that trek. We still, however ride the Alexander Mackenzie Heritage trail daily. We had some bad weather last summer and this was a perfect way to host that particular 5 day trek.

For those anxious to camp out in tents, we also do the 5 day trek as a camping trek.

New for this year will be a 7 day pack trip into the Itcha Mountains. This is strictly done with pack horses, so gear is limited. This trip is to showcase the beautiful scenery along the trails leading into the Itcha Mountains. Simply beautiful.

All of our trips are limited to a max of 10 clients, so we advise you to book early.

Happy trails, and we hope to see you this riding season.

All the best for 2010
