We usually
start out the early morning with a cowboy breakfast of pan fries, bacon and
sausage, fried eggs, fruit, toast, tea or coffee, and juice.
We then round up the cattle on horseback and take them down to the corrals
where the calves are sorted away from their mothers. The mothers are turned
out into the fields where they await their calves to join them after they
have been branded and dehorned and generally checked over.
The end of the day is spent around the campfire reliving the day's event perhaps
with a sing-along or two.
Barndance to follow in the evening.
