Quesnel to Bella Coola - This is our 19 day trek. There is
travel by horse, horse and wagon, hiking, and even some vehicle driven sections.

The trip starts out from the ranch in Quesnel and ends up in Bella Coola.
Your return trip to the Quesnel ranch is included, or if you wish you may
want to continue your trip from Bella Coola ( all can be arranged. please
specify).
You will sleep in tent camps, but if you are a single person you will probably
be buddied up with someone else. If you prefer bring your own tent for privacy.
Fresh food will be delivered at least once a week, twice a week if there is
good access by vehicle as the trail runs along some easy access roads at times.
Experienced guides with sufficient bush knowledge will be with us to safely
get us there and back. We also have emergency satellite phones and can call
in support if needed, but the rest is pure true grit.
We will observe the ancient trail markings as we go through forests, over
hills, through streams and rivers along the prehistoric route known by the
name of Carrier Trade Route, now part of the Heritage trail. We will camp
early and enjoy the stars as you can only do so far from the lights of the
city.
The wildlife will be the most satisfying, every where you turn another beautiful
creature flies by or skips across the water. The eagles fly high and co-exist
with the peregrines, ospreys, bears, beavers, deer, coyote, ducks of all kinds.
Pelicans flying so close to the water they glide by using the river as their
highway as they make their way to the feeding grounds. Loons on the local
lakes and streams cry out for all to hear as you walk through their meadows
and brooks.
Wild vegetation grows everywhere, ask your guides for information about wildlife
and vegetation. We will stop at as many archaeological sites as we can find
and - we also stop for spectacular vistas. We will take some time to explore
the sites along the way.
All detailed information will be mailed to you upon request.
